Pre-Concert Talk 30 minutes before the start of the concert.The mysterious and vibrant spirit of autumn is brought to life by the Beaverton Symphony Orchestra's season opener\, Into Midnight. A captivating journey through the mysterious and vibrant spirit of autumn\, devilish fiddle music and eerie xylophonic skeletons awaken restless spirits under a moonlit sky in Saint-Sa ns's Danse macabre. Swap that skeleton onesie for spurs and leather\, the dancing continues with Four Dance Episodes from Copland's Rodeo. The heartfelt yearning of the American west is a sound every American recognizes\, and it's Copland's signature style. The tender longing of a cowgirl's quest for love is captured in this beautiful and recognizable ballet suite. The concert closes with Brahms's Symphony No. 3\; a deeply expressive work filled with bittersweet reflection and quietly soaring passion.
